Heechan Kim is a furniture designer whose work bridges fine art and functional design. He earned a BFA in Sculpture and is currently pursuing an MFA in Furniture Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).

His background in sculpture shapes the way he approaches furniture, not simply as functional objects, but as sculptural forms capable of creating emotional connections through material, proportion, and craftsmanship. At the same time, he believes that strong design should remain intuitive, purposeful, and grounded in everyday use.

Drawing inspiration from disciplines such as fashion, sculpture, and contemporary art, he develops furniture that balances sculptural expression with practical usability. His work explores new forms while remaining committed to craftsmanship, comfort, and lasting relevance.
